Mobile’s “one Game Wonder” Problem | Techcrunch

Even Rovio seems sort of stuck trying to reignite flagging interests in all things Angry Birds. For these and many more companies the world of mobile (and, relatedly, social) seems very flash-in-the-pan. They seem to get maybe a 12 or 18 month window in which they might have an isolated hit, but theyre not building on them in the same way that publishers in other areas of the market can. Candy Crush may have had millions upon millions of players but its not making the dent that many Sony games do, and thats not all about graphics.
