Artists featured include Neil Gaiman (Sandman), Alan Moore (Watchmen, V for Vendetta), Grant Morrison (Batman: Arkham Asylum) and Posy Simmonds (Tamara Drewe), and includes titles such as 2000AD, Action and Misty. The display traces the history and tradition of British comics back through classic 1970s titles, to the 19th century illustrated reports of cases such as Jack the Ripper and will also explore issues raised in the comics such as politics, violence, drugs and sexuality. It will also include original scripts, preparatory sketches and final artwork, which seek to explain the creative process. Parental guidance is advised for children under the age of 16, due to the nature of some of the comic strips. Tickets will be issued with timed entry slots and cost 9.50 for adults, while children under 18 go free.
